King’s Lynn, West Norfolk എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കേണ്ട Reception, secondary, junior school deadlines ഇതാ.
Parents and carers across King’s Lynn and West Norfolk can now apply for school places for the 2027/28 academic year through Norfolk Education Online.
Applications for children starting Reception in September 2027 opened on 23 September 2026. The deadline for an on-time application is 15 January 2027.
Applications for children transferring to secondary school in September 2027 opened on 11 September 2026, with the deadline for an on-time application set for 31 October 2026.
Parents applying for a junior school Year 3 place will be able to apply from 6 November 2026, with the same 15 January 2027 deadline.
Important for parents
Norfolk County Council advises parents who already have a Norfolk Education Online account—for example from a previous school-place, free-school-meal or funded-childcare application—to check and confirm their existing account details before making a new application.
Families living outside Norfolk must apply through their own home local authority, even if they want their child to attend a Norfolk school.
Another point parents should check carefully is transport. If a child is offered a preferred school that is not their nearest or nearest catchment school, the family may be responsible for arranging and paying for transport.
Key dates
- Secondary school: Apply by 31 October 2026
- Reception: Apply by 15 January 2027
- Junior school Year 3: Applications open 6 November 2026; deadline 15 January 2027
Why this matters
Missing an on-time application deadline can reduce the options available to families, especially where local schools are oversubscribed. Parents should therefore check catchment areas, admissions rules and transport implications before submitting their preferences.

- Junior school Year 3: Applications
